A well-established midsized freight forwarder is currently seeking an experienced Air Export Operator to join their team in Düsseldorf. This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on professional who can handle the full air export process from start to finish, including all related documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the end-to-end air export process for international shipments
- Prepare and process all necessary export documentation (HAWB/MAWB, customs declarations, export permits, etc.)
- Coordinate with airlines, ground handlers, and agents to ensure smooth cargo movement
- Liaise directly with customers, providing status updates and maintaining a high level of service
- Ensure compliance with all relevant export regulations and company procedures
- Handle bookings, rate negotiations, and shipment planning
- Work closely with internal departments such as operations, sales, and finance
Requirements:
- Proven experience in air export operations within a freight forwarding environment
- Strong knowledge of export documentation and customs clearance processes
- Ability to independently manage shipments from A to Z
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
- Comfortable working in a dynamic, team-focused environment
- Proficiency in relevant software (e.g., CargoWise, MS Office)
- Good command of English and German
