Position: Regional Sales Manager
Location: United States (Regional Role)
A leading global third-party logistics (3PL) provider is seeking an experienced Regional Sales Manager (RSM) to join its National Sales Division. This organization offers end-to-end supply chain solutions, including air and ocean freight, customs brokerage, domestic transportation, and warehousing.
As a Regional Sales Manager, you will drive regional growth by managing the full sales cycle—from prospecting and lead generation to closing deals and expanding existing accounts. You’ll work cross-functionally with operations teams to ensure exceptional customer delivery while helping shape the company’s broader commercial strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage a strong pipeline of new business through your industry network
- Maintain and grow a portfolio of existing accounts to achieve revenue goals
- Identify new opportunities across various industries and markets
- Conduct client meetings (virtual and on-site) to build and strengthen relationships
- Cross-sell and upsell services across the company’s full logistics offering
- Collaborate closely with branch operations to ensure high service standards
- Contribute to sales planning, business development initiatives, and marketing efforts
- Provide accurate and timely sales forecasts and reporting
- Manage all sales activities and customer interactions within the CRM platform
- Deliver professional proposals and sales presentations to prospective clients
- Take ownership of special assignments or projects from executive leadership
- Attend regular team meetings and engage with key internal stakeholders
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain, business, or related field preferred
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in logistics, transportation, or 3PL sales
- Proven ability to manage and grow a book of business in a 3PL environment
- Strong industry connections and ability to generate new client partnerships
- Demonstrated track record of closing deals and managing key accounts
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills
- Proficient in CRM platforms and experienced with sales reporting tools
- Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Organized, self-motivated, and capable of managing multiple priorities
