Role Overview:
Our client, a global leader in logistics and freight forwarding, is seeking a seasoned Regional Sales Director to drive growth across international air and ocean freight markets.
This role requires expertise in managing the full sales cycle within high-value industries, including aerospace, automotive, semiconductor, and healthcare. The ideal candidate will utilize advanced market intelligence and industry networks to secure profitable business opportunities while delivering customized, end-to-end supply chain solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Targeted Business Acquisition: Leverage industry connections and data analytics to identify high-potential clients within sectors such as life sciences, perishables, and complex project cargo.
- Strategic Sales Execution: Implement customized sales strategies that align with client needs and market demands, incorporating deep knowledge of multimodal logistics and value-added services.
- Consultative Solutions Development: Collaborate with internal stakeholders to design bespoke air and ocean freight solutions, incorporating digital platforms like CargoWise for operational transparency and efficiency.
- Pipeline and KPI Management: Maintain a robust sales pipeline, ensuring revenue growth through accurate forecasting and consistent achievement of performance metrics.
- Relationship Building: Foster long-term partnerships with C-suite decision-makers by demonstrating a thorough understanding of their supply chain challenges and offering innovative solutions.
- Market Engagement: Represent the brand at trade shows, conferences, and industry forums, staying ahead of emerging trends and positioning the company as a preferred partner.
- Operational Coordination: Work closely with operations teams to ensure seamless onboarding and execution of freight solutions, maintaining high customer satisfaction levels.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5–7 years of sales experience in international air and ocean freight forwarding, with a focus on industries such as aerospace, automotive, and high-value cargo.
- Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and securing large-scale accounts through consultative selling.
- Advanced knowledge of freight forwarding processes, including import/export compliance, customs brokerage, and digital supply chain solutions.
- Familiarity with systems such as CargoWise, SAP, or other TMS/ERP platforms preferred.
- Strong negotiation, presentation, and stakeholder management skills at an executive level.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field preferred.
