Customer Relationship Manager

Location: New York, NY
Salary: $60,000 – $70,000

Altius Talent is partnering with a well-established international freight forwarding and logistics provider to recruit a Customer Relationship Manager for their New York office.

Reporting to the Vice President of Business Development and Sales, this role will act as the key link between the sales and operations teams. The successful candidate will support existing accounts while also identifying opportunities to develop new business through both inside and outside sales outreach.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary liaison between the sales and operations teams to support customer accounts

  • Maintain strong relationships with existing clients while identifying opportunities to grow accounts

  • Prepare and manage customer quotations and rate requests

  • Maintain and update internal CRM systems and customer databases

  • Respond to customer inquiries and deliver high levels of customer service

  • Conduct customer review calls and assist with account management activities

  • Support sales initiatives through inside and outside sales outreach

  • Work closely with operations teams to ensure smooth shipment execution

  • Perform additional duties as required by management

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience within a freight forwarding or 3PL environment in either sales support or operations

  • Experience across Ocean, Air, Ground, Customs Brokerage or Warehousing is considered an advantage

  • Bachelor’s degree is considered an asset

  • Knowledge of international air and ocean freight services, particularly transatlantic shipments to the United States and Canada, is beneficial

  • Willingness to travel occasionally if required
