Branch Manager | Air & Ocean Freight Forwarding

Location: Houston, TX (Fully Remote)

A growing logistics platform is launching a dedicated freight forwarding division and seeking a senior Branch Manager to build, operate, and scale a full-service Air & Ocean forwarding operation from the ground up.

This is a hands-on leadership role for a proven forwarding professional with experience establishing operations, managing execution, developing teams, and driving profitable growth within an entrepreneurial environment.

Core Responsibilities

• Establish and lead Air & Ocean freight forwarding operations across import and export movements
• Build operational structure, SOPs, carrier relationships, overseas agent networks, and compliance frameworks
• Oversee end-to-end shipment execution including quoting, routing, documentation, customs coordination, and service delivery
• Recruit, train, and manage operations and customer service teams as volume scales
• Drive profitability, margin control, service performance, and operational KPIs
• Partner with executive leadership on strategy, market expansion, and long-term division growth

Required Background

• 8+ years within international freight forwarding (Air & Ocean)
• Proven experience building or scaling forwarding branches or departments
• Strong operational execution knowledge across imports and exports
• Deep understanding of carrier procurement, routing, compliance, and pricing strategy
• Experience working in entrepreneurial or growth-stage logistics environments preferred
