About the Role

We are looking for an Air Freight Coordinator to join a specialist logistics operation with a focus on complex, high-value, and project-related cargo movements. This is not a standard freight forwarding environment. You will be coordinating air freight solutions for demanding clients across the energy, oil and gas, industrial, and infrastructure sectors.

Responsibilities

Coordinate air freight shipments for project and out-of-gauge cargo across global trade lanes

Arrange charter aircraft where required and manage relationships with charter brokers and airlines

Prepare and verify all shipping documentation including AWBs, dangerous goods declarations, and export paperwork

Liaise with overseas agents, ground handlers, and customs brokers to ensure seamless execution

Track and trace shipments, keeping clients informed at every stage

Work closely with project managers to ensure air freight activity aligns with wider project timelines

Identify and resolve operational issues quickly to protect client deadlines

Ensure accurate file costing, invoicing, and closure

Requirements

2 or more years of air freight experience, ideally within a project logistics or specialist forwarding environment

Exposure to charter, breakbulk, or heavy lift movements is a strong advantage

Solid understanding of air export and import documentation and compliance

Ability to manage complex, time-critical shipments under pressure

Strong communication skills and a client-focused mindset

Experience with Cargowise or similar TMS preferred
