Business Development Manager – Sea & Air Freight
Location: Bremen
Salary: €65,000 – €75,000 + Company Car + Bonus


Altius Talent is proud to be recruiting on behalf of a well-established, mid-sized international freight forwarder, known for its strong operational know-how and personalized customer service. As they continue to grow their presence in the German market, they are now looking for a Business Development Manager to join their Bremen branch, with a focus on Sea & Air Freight solutions.

The Role:

As Business Development Manager, you’ll play a crucial role in expanding the company's client base across Northern Germany. You'll be the driving force behind new customer acquisition, building strong, lasting partnerships with shippers and decision-makers across industries. Backed by an experienced operations team, you’ll be free to focus on what you do best—developing business and closing deals.

Key Responsibilities:
 
  • Identify and target new customers across Sea & Air freight sectors
  • Manage the full sales cycle: prospecting, meetings, proposal, and close
  • Work closely with branch operations to ensure seamless onboarding and service delivery
  • Represent the Bremen branch at client meetings, industry events, and networking opportunities
  • Provide regular sales forecasts and performance reporting to senior management
  • Collaborate with internal departments to support tailored logistics solutions

What You Bring:
 
  • Proven experience in freight forwarding sales, with a focus on Air and/or Sea freight
  • Strong network of contacts in the Bremen/Northern Germany region
  • Strategic mindset with a hunter mentality and a passion for logistics
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in both German and English
  • Self-driven, independent, and commercially focused
  • Valid driver’s license (B)
