A global freight forwarder is seeking a Key Account Manager – Air & Ocean Exports to join its Miami operations team. The company provides end-to-end logistics solutions across air, ocean, and ground transportation, including customs clearance, warehousing, and distribution. The Role
A hands-on operational role responsible for managing key customer accounts while overseeing the execution of air and ocean export shipments from booking through to final departure. This position sits within a collaborative operations team and carries direct accountability for ensuring shipments are executed efficiently, compliantly, and in line with customer expectations.
Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day operations for assigned key accounts across air and ocean export shipments

Coordinate bookings, documentation, and shipment execution from pickup through final departure

Ensure compliance with U.S. export regulations, including AES filings and customer-specific requirements

Act as the primary point of contact for customers, providing proactive updates and resolving issues

Troubleshoot operational challenges and implement corrective actions quickly

Collaborate with internal teams including warehouse, dispatch, pricing, and compliance

Maintain accurate shipment data and records within CargoWise
-
Monitor shipment timelines and proactively address delays or service risks

Support process improvements and help standardize operational workflows

Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders
Requirements

Minimum 5+ years of experience in freight forwarding operations

Strong operational experience in U.S. air and ocean exports (required)

Import experience is advantageous

Hands-on experience with CargoWise (required)

Strong understanding of export documentation, AES filings, and regulatory requirements

Ability to manage multiple shipments and priorities in a fast-paced environment

Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills

Strong communication skills with both customers and internal teams
