Location: Munich, Germany
Salary: Up to €55,000 per annum (depending on experience)
About the Role:
Altius is working on behalf of a well-established midsized freight forwarder who is looking to strengthen their air export team in Munich. This position is ideal for an experienced Air Export Operator who can handle shipments from start to finish and provide excellent service to customers worldwide.

About the Role:
Altius is working on behalf of a well-established midsized freight forwarder who is looking to strengthen their air export team in Munich. This position is ideal for an experienced Air Export Operator who can handle shipments from start to finish and provide excellent service to customers worldwide.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the complete air export process from booking to delivery.
- Prepare and process all export documentation in compliance with customs and industry regulations.
- Coordinate with airlines, transport providers, and overseas agents.
- Arrange collections, consolidations, and bookings for international shipments.
- Track and monitor shipments, proactively resolving any operational issues.
- Maintain strong communication with customers, providing regular updates.
- Ensure accurate data entry and billing within the operational systems.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in air export operations within a freight forwarding environment.
- Strong understanding of export documentation, customs procedures, and airfreight processes.
- Good command of German and English (spoken and written).
- Proficient in using freight forwarding/operational software (knowledge of Cargowise or similar advantageous).
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage multiple shipments at once.
- Customer-focused mindset with strong attention to detail.
