About the Role
Our client, a leading international freight forwarder, is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to expand market share across air and ocean freight. This is a hunter role focused on securing new logos, driving GP growth, and strengthening presence in key U.S. trade lanes.
Responsibilities
- Identify, target, and secure new business across air and ocean freight
- Develop and execute sales strategies to win mid-market and enterprise accounts
- Leverage carrier and vendor relationships to create competitive solutions
- Deliver client presentations, RFQs, and solution proposals
- Collaborate with operations and account management to ensure seamless onboarding
- Track pipeline performance through CRM and provide regular revenue forecasts
- Consistently achieve and exceed revenue and GP targets
Candidate Profile
- 5+ years freight forwarding sales experience
- Proven hunter with transferable customer relationships
- Strong knowledge of international air and ocean freight
- Skilled in RFQs, pricing, and solution-based selling
- Confident communicator with executive presence
- Results-driven with a track record of GP and revenue growth
