Outside Sales Executive – Freight Forwarding

 

About the Role:

 

You will be joining a team of driven sales professionals at one of the most well-regarded logistics providers in the U.S. market. Your role as an Outside Sales Executive will be to spearhead growth by securing new business for air and ocean freight services. You are the face of the company when engaging clients across strategic trade lanes like Europe, South America, the Middle East, and Asia. Your position will allow you to make a tangible impact on key verticals including healthcare, pharmaceutical, aerospace, oil and gas, automotive, general cargo, fashion, and retail.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • New Business Development: You will identify, target, and secure new clients for air and ocean freight services.
  • Market Expansion: You will drive revenue growth across critical trade lanes, including Europe, South America, the Middle East, and Asia.
  • Client Relationship Management: Your role is to build, manage, and nurture lasting client relationships.
  • Revenue Generation: You will close deals, negotiate profitable terms, and develop strong, sustainable partnerships.
  • Sales Pipeline & Reporting: You will maintain an organized sales pipeline, track key performance metrics, and provide forecasts for senior leadership.

 

Key Requirements:

 

  • Proven Industry Experience: You must have a demonstrated track record of success in outside sales for freight forwarding, with specific experience in air and ocean freight services.
  • Trade Lane Expertise: Your knowledge of trade lanes like Europe, South America, the Middle East, and Asia will be key to your success.
  • Industry Knowledge: You should have a strong understanding of key verticals like healthcare, pharmaceutical, aerospace, oil and gas, automotive, general cargo, fashion, and retail.
  • Sales Hunter Mentality: Your role requires you to be proactive in identifying new business opportunities, developing tailored solutions, and closing deals.
  • Data-Driven Approach: You will be expected to track your sales performance metrics and provide forecasts to senior management.
  • Interpersonal Skills: You will engage and influence decision-makers, negotiate contracts, and develop strong client partnerships.
