Business Development Manager
Position: Domestic Sales Executive
Location: United States (Remote or Office-Based)
Overview
We are seeking a results-driven Domestic Sales Executive to drive revenue growth within the U.S. transportation and logistics market. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing new business across full truckload (FTL), less-than-truckload (LTL), intermodal, and expedited ground services, while maintaining strong client relationships to ensure consistent growth and profitability.
Responsibilities

Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities across domestic transportation modes including FTL, LTL, intermodal, and expedited ground.

Develop a structured pipeline of target customers through proactive prospecting, networking, and strategic account mapping.

Negotiate rates, contracts, and service agreements in line with company margin targets and operational capabilities.

Collaborate with pricing, operations, and customer service teams to deliver customized logistics solutions and seamless execution.

Manage and expand existing accounts, ensuring high customer satisfaction and repeat business.

Conduct regular business reviews to monitor performance, identify growth potential, and optimize service delivery.

Track activity and performance metrics using CRM systems, maintaining accurate and current sales records.

Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings to build brand awareness and trust.
Requirements

Minimum 3–5 years of domestic freight sales experience within a U.S. transportation, 3PL, or freight forwarding environment.

Proven track record of achieving or exceeding annual GP or revenue targets.

Strong understanding of domestic transport operations, rate structures, and carrier networks.

Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

Self-motivated, commercially minded, and comfortable working in a performance-driven environment.

Proficiency with CRM tools and Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred

Existing customer relationships or an active book of business within domestic freight.

Experience across key verticals such as manufacturing, retail, automotive, and industrial goods.
