A growing international freight forwarder is looking to hire an Air Import Coordinator to join their Chicago operations team. This is a great opportunity for someone with 2–3 years of air import forwarding experience looking to continue developing within a fast-paced international logistics environment.

Responsibilities

• Handle full A–Z Air Import operations
• Coordinate international air shipments from arrival through final delivery
• Communicate with airlines, overseas agents, trucking companies, warehouses, and customers
• Monitor shipment status and provide proactive updates to clients
• Prepare and process import documentation accurately
• Arrange customs clearance with brokerage teams when required
• Ensure timely billing, file management, and data entry within internal systems
• Resolve shipment issues and delays efficiently
• Maintain compliance with TSA, CBP, and company procedures

Requirements

• 2–3 years of experience within Air Import Freight Forwarding
• Experience handling international Air Import shipments A–Z
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Experience working within a fast-paced forwarding environment
• Knowledge of import documentation and airline procedures
• CargoWise experience preferred
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
