Business Development Manager – Air, Ocean & Domestic Freight
Location: Kansas, MO
Salary: $85,000 Base + Commission + Benefits
Altius Talent is working with a well-established global freight forwarder seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive new business growth across the Kansas market.
This is an excellent opportunity for a proven freight forwarding sales professional with a hunter mentality, strong local network, and experience selling Air, Ocean, and Domestic transportation solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Generate new business opportunities across the Kasas region
- Sell a full suite of services including Air Freight, Ocean Freight, Domestic Transportation, Warehousing & Customs solutions
- Develop and manage a strong sales pipeline from lead generation through to close
- Build long-term relationships with importers, exporters, manufacturers, and distributors
- Work closely with operations and pricing teams to deliver tailored logistics solutions
- Achieve monthly and annual gross profit / revenue targets
- Maintain strong market knowledge of competitors and industry trends
Requirements:
- Proven success in freight forwarding / logistics sales
- Strong background selling Air, Ocean & Domestic freight solutions
- Existing book of business / strong network within Kansas highly advantageous
- Hunter mentality with a track record of winning new accounts
- Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills
- Self-motivated, driven, and able to work autonomously
Package:
- Base salary up to $85,000 depending on experience
- Uncapped commission structure
