Business Development Manager
Overview:
We are seeking a driven and commercially focused Business Development Manager to expand our freight forwarding business across Air, Ocean, and Domestic services. The role will focus on new business acquisition, key account growth, and building long-term partnerships to deliver sustainable revenue and GP growth.
Key Responsibilities:

Identify, target, and secure new business opportunities across Air, Ocean, Import, Export, and Domestic forwarding.

Develop and manage a robust sales pipeline through proactive prospecting, networking, and industry intelligence.

Prepare and deliver tailored proposals, pricing solutions, and presentations to prospective clients.

Work closely with Operations and Pricing teams to ensure service excellence and competitive offerings.

Build strong, long-term relationships with clients, ensuring customer satisfaction and repeat business.

Achieve and exceed agreed sales targets, GP objectives, and KPI metrics.

Provide accurate sales forecasts, activity reports, and market updates to management.

Represent the business at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities.
Requirements:

Proven track record in Business Development within Freight Forwarding (Air and Ocean experience essential).

Strong commercial acumen and ability to negotiate at senior levels.

Established network of decision-makers across importers/exporters, shippers, and key accounts.

Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.

Self-motivated, target-driven, and able to work independently as well as collaboratively with internal teams.

Strong knowledge of international trade, Incoterms, and global supply chain processes.
