Business Development Manager – U.S. Freight Forwarding
Responsibilities:

Lead proactive new business development across air, ocean, and trucking trade lanes, focusing on strategic verticals including manufacturing, retail, and healthcare.

Identify and engage high-potential prospects, managing the full sales cycle from initial contact through contract negotiation and closing.

Develop tailored logistics solutions using consultative selling techniques to drive revenue growth and maximize gross profit.

Cultivate and maintain relationships with C-level executives, procurement teams, and supply chain stakeholders to secure long-term partnerships.

Work closely with operations, customer service, and compliance teams to ensure flawless execution and client satisfaction.

Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and freight rate fluctuations to adjust sales strategies accordingly.

Deliver detailed pipeline reporting and commercial insights to senior leadership to support strategic decision-making.
Qualifications:

Minimum 5 years’ experience in freight forwarding business development within the U.S. market.

Deep understanding of air, ocean, and trucking trade lanes and freight forwarding service models.

Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.

Proficiency with CRM platforms such as Salesforce or CargoWise.
