Salary: $70,000 – $85,000 base (depending on experience)

Our client, a leading global freight forwarder, is seeking a Pricing Specialist to join their Houston office. This role is critical in supporting commercial growth by providing competitive air, ocean, and domestic pricing solutions while ensuring margin integrity.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver competitive spot quotes and formal bids for Air, Ocean (FCL/LCL), and Domestic services

• Liaise with carriers, co-loaders, and vendors to secure best rates and space allocation

• Analyze RFQs, tenders, and customer requests, ensuring accuracy and speed of response

• Support sales and operations teams with market intelligence, pricing strategy, and margin analysis

• Maintain rate databases, monitor carrier tariffs, and provide updates on market fluctuations

Requirements

• 2+ years experience in freight forwarding pricing, procurement, or inside sales

• Strong knowledge of Air and Ocean freight rates, surcharges, and Incoterms

• Proficiency with carrier portals, pricing tools, and MS Excel

• Detail-oriented, highly responsive, and commercially minded

• Ability to work cross-functionally with sales, operations, and trade lane managers
