This role is ideal for a highly motivated sales professional with experience in freight forwarding, supply chain solutions, and business development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to acquire and grow accounts.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in air, ocean, and road freight services.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in supply chain and logistics.
- Collaborate with internal teams to provide tailored freight solutions to clients.
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and service agreements to drive profitability.
- Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions.
- Meet and exceed sales targets and KPIs through proactive business development.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in freight forwarding sales or logistics business development.
- Strong knowledge of air, ocean, and road freight services, including import/export regulations.
- Proven ability to generate leads, close deals, and expand existing accounts.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and within a team.
- Proficiency in CRM systems and sales reporting tools.
- Willingness to travel within the Midwest region for client meetings and industry events.
