Overview:
Own and execute the end-to-end management of ocean import shipments for a top-tier global forwarder. This position requires precision in operational control, deep compliance expertise, and the ability to deliver under pressure. You will serve as the primary point of contact for clients, carriers, and partners, driving reliability and seamless execution across complex international supply chains.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage full-cycle ocean import files, including document review, ISF submission, customs clearance, and last-mile delivery coordination

• Serve as direct liaison with ocean carriers, drayage providers, customs brokers, and shippers to secure timely cargo release and resolve any exceptions

• Oversee all import documentation—bills of lading, commercial invoices, packing lists, and arrival notices—ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance

• Proactively identify and resolve delays or challenges, delivering clear solutions and regular status updates to clients and internal teams

• Ensure strict adherence to FMC, CBP, and all U.S. and international regulatory requirements

• Maintain comprehensive milestone reporting and support commercial teams with rate requests, quotations, and new client onboarding

Requirements:

• Demonstrated success in ocean import operations within an international freight forwarding environment

• Advanced knowledge of U.S. customs procedures, ISF, and industry compliance standards

• Strong organizational, communication, and customer relationship skills

• Proficiency with TMS, CRM, and logistics software platforms

• Detail-oriented, resilient under pressure, and driven to deliver exceptional service
