We are representing a global freight forwarder with the network, carrier contracts, and operational infrastructure to compete at the highest level in international air and ocean freight. The business is seeking a senior leader to take ownership of all U.S. commercial and operational activity, driving growth, profitability, and market share.
This position offers an executive salary between $200,000 and $250,000 plus a performance-based bonus. You will have the authority to shape strategy, lead sales and operations teams, and strengthen relationships with key accounts and carriers.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the U.S. business unit across sales, operations, and customer service
- Develop and execute the national strategy for international air freight and ocean freight import/export
- Drive new business development, account expansion, and GP growth across all trade lanes
- Oversee operational performance to ensure service delivery meets or exceeds customer expectations
- Build and mentor high-performing teams in multiple locations
- Manage P&L, set budgets, and track performance against targets
- Represent the U.S. business in global leadership meetings and collaborate on group initiatives
Requirements
- Proven senior leadership experience in international freight forwarding
- Strong commercial record in winning, retaining, and growing major accounts
- In-depth knowledge of air freight, ocean freight, Incoterms, U.S. Customs, AES filings, and export compliance
- Experience managing multi-location teams and full P&L responsibility
- Established relationships with carriers, global customers, and trade lane partners
- Strategic thinker with a hands-on, results-driven approach
