Business Development Manager – International Freight Forwarding
Location: USA (Remote or Office-Based)
Overview:
A global freight forwarder is hiring a Business Development Manager to drive new business across air and ocean freight services. This is a pure hunter role focused on acquiring new accounts and generating consistent GP growth across international trade lanes.
Key Responsibilities:

Win new business across FCL, LCL, and air import/export services

Identify and close mid-sized to enterprise-level clients with recurring volumes

Lead customer discovery, deliver tailored solutions, and manage pricing negotiations

Collaborate with internal teams to execute competitive and scalable logistics offerings

Consistently meet or exceed monthly GP targets and contribute to commercial strategy
Ideal Candidate Profile:

Track record of success in international freight sales, focused on new business

Deep understanding of global trade, carrier networks, and Incoterms

Consultative, field-based salesperson with strong closing ability

Able to manage pipeline independently and work cross-functionally with operations

Proficient with CRM tools and structured sales reporting
