Position Summary:
We are searching for a dynamic Business Development Manager to spearhead commercial growth across the U.S. market for a leading international logistics provider. This role requires an assertive sales leader with advanced knowledge of air and ocean freight, domestic transport, and integrated logistics. You will be responsible for targeting, developing, and closing new business with a focus on high-margin, strategic accounts.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Proactively identify and acquire new clients across multiple industries, utilizing advanced sales techniques to generate qualified leads and expand market presence.

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans tailored to core trade lanes, industry verticals, and service offerings, ensuring alignment with quarterly and annual growth targets.

  • Engage decision makers and C-suite executives, employing Challenger and consultative sales methodologies to uncover supply chain challenges and position bespoke logistics solutions.

  • Drive full-cycle sales processes, from initial prospecting and solution design through negotiation, contract closure, and handover to operations.

  • Collaborate closely with operational and pricing teams to deliver seamless implementation, exceptional service, and ongoing client satisfaction.

  • Maintain current knowledge of global and domestic logistics trends, rate changes, and regulatory developments, ensuring commercial offerings are always market-relevant.

  • Deliver accurate pipeline reporting, forecasting, and CRM data management to ensure visibility and accountability throughout the sales cycle.

  • Represent the organization at industry events, trade shows, and client meetings to maximize brand exposure and commercial opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years’ business development or sales experience within international freight forwarding or third-party logistics.

  • Proven success selling air and ocean freight, domestic transport, and value-added supply chain services.

  • Established network and track record of winning mid-market and enterprise-level clients.

  • Expert-level negotiation, presentation, and closing skills with a persuasive and disciplined commercial approach.

  • CRM proficiency and familiarity with digital sales tools.

  • Ability to travel nationally as needed to support client and market development.
