Job Title: Sea Export Operator
Location: Hamburg, Germany
Salary: Up to €55,000 per annum
A reputable midsized freight forwarder is currently seeking an experienced Sea Export Operator to join their operations team based in Hamburg.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managed the end-to-end coordination of sea export shipments, from booking to final delivery.
- Prepared and reviewed all necessary export documentation, including Bills of Lading, customs declarations, and commercial invoices.
- Maintained regular communication with shipping lines, overseas agents, and customers to ensure smooth cargo movement.
- Monitored shipments to proactively resolve delays or issues and provided status updates to clients.
- Ensured compliance with international trade regulations and company procedures.
- Handled data entry and updates within internal TMS and external platforms.
- Collaborated closely with internal departments such as sales, customer service, and finance.
Profile:
- Demonstrated experience in sea export operations within the freight forwarding industry.
- Strong knowledge of Incoterms, export documentation, and customs procedures.
- Proficient in using freight forwarding software and MS Office applications.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- German fluency is required; English proficiency is essential for international coordination.
- A proactive and solutions-oriented mindset with a customer-first approach.
