About the Role

 

This is a strategic sales leadership role focused on driving regional growth across the Midwest, with a primary base in Chicago. The Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies, managing key client relationships, and leading a team of sales professionals. The role requires a deep understanding of freight forwarding services and the ability to identify and capitalize on new business opportunities.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Develop and implement regional sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and market share growth
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in air and ocean freight forwarding services
  • Manage and nurture relationships with key clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Lead, mentor, and support a team of sales professionals to achieve individual and team goals
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure seamless service delivery and client onboarding
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to inform strategic planning

 

Candidate Requirements

 

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in sales within the freight forwarding industry
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth
  • Strong knowledge of air and ocean freight services, customs brokerage, and logistics solutions
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to travel within the Midwest region as required
  • Based in or willing to relocate to the Chicago, IL area
