As the country’s leading freight forwarding recruitment agency, we are currently partnering with a well-established logistics provider to identify an experienced Import Breakbulk Specialist to join their growing team. This role is ideal for someone with a solid background in ocean freight and project cargo who thrives in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle full-cycle coordination of import breakbulk and project cargo shipments (A–Z)

  • Liaise with steamship lines, overseas agents, truckers, and customs brokers

  • Prepare and process import documentation including ISF, arrival notices, customs entries, and delivery orders

  • Coordinate closely with U.S. Customs, FDA, and other relevant agencies

  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and company SOPs

  • Track and trace cargo, proactively addressing delays or exceptions

  • Communicate with clients to provide timely updates and ensure a high level of service

  • Support the billing team with accurate costing and invoicing

  • Work with the warehouse and operations teams to plan and execute deliveries

Requirements:

  • 3–5+ years of experience in breakbulk/project cargo within a freight forwarding environment

  • Strong understanding of import compliance, documentation, and customs processes

  • Experience working with specialized commodities (e.g., machinery, steel, chemicals, oversized goods)

  • Familiarity with key trade lanes (Trans-Atlantic, LATAM, Trans-Pacific)

  • Working knowledge of CargoWise (preferred) or similar TMS/ERP systems

  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills

  • Ability to thrive under pressure and manage multiple shipments simultaneously

  • Strong communication and client service skills
