Sales Executive – Air, Sea & Rail Freight Sales
Location: Frankfurt (Preferred) / Remote, Germany
Company: Growing Freight Forwarder with Hubs in Frankfurt & Hamburg
Salary: Up to €80,000 + 20% Bonus Scheme on Life of Accounts (after reaching 3x salary)

Overview:

Altius Talent are working with a global forwarder who’s recently put footprints on the ground in Germany who are seeking an experienced Sales Executive to join their growing team, focusing on air, sea, and rail freight sales across Germany. This role offers flexibility in location, with the option to be based in Frankfurt or work remotely from anywhere in Germany. The successful candidate will have a strong track record in freight forwarding sales and will drive business growth across general cargo trade routes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities in air, sea, and rail freight sales across Germany.
  • Manage and grow existing client relationships, ensuring long-term partnerships and continued account development.
  • Provide tailored freight solutions to clients based on their logistics needs and trade routes.
  • Work closely with operational teams in Frankfurt and Hamburg to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Meet and exceed sales targets, with a focus on profitability and long-term account growth.
  • Prepare and present detailed proposals, contracts, and freight pricing strategies.
  • Track industry trends and competitor activities to adapt sales strategies accordingly.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in freight forwarding sales within Germany, with a focus on air, sea, and rail freight.
  • Strong understanding of general cargo logistics and the global trade landscape.
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, both in German and English.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently, particularly if based remotely.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events.
Compensation & Benefits:
  • Competitive base salary of up to €80,000.
