Logistics Specialist

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Logistics Specialist to manage and coordinate international and domestic logistics activities, ensuring shipments are handled efficiently, accurately and in line with customer requirements.

The role will involve working closely with customers, suppliers, carriers, freight forwarders and internal teams to coordinate shipments from booking through to final delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate import, export and domestic shipments from origin to final delivery.

• Arrange and manage air, ocean, road and other transportation services as required.

• Liaise with customers, suppliers, carriers, agents and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth shipment execution.

• Prepare and manage shipping documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading and customs documentation.

• Monitor shipment status and proactively manage delays, exceptions and operational issues.

• Obtain and review freight rates and support cost-effective transportation solutions.

• Ensure shipments comply with applicable customs, trade and regulatory requirements.

• Maintain accurate shipment records and update internal systems accordingly.

• Coordinate with warehouses, terminals and third-party logistics providers.

• Resolve customer and operational queries promptly and professionally.

• Support invoicing, freight reconciliation and general administration where required.

• Build strong working relationships with customers and logistics partners.

• Identify opportunities to improve processes, service levels and operational efficiency.

Requirements

• Previous experience within freight forwarding, logistics, transportation or supply chain.

• Good understanding of international shipping and logistics processes.

• Experience coordinating shipments across multiple modes is advantageous.

• Strong communication and organisational skills.

• Ability to manage multiple shipments and priorities simultaneously.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

• Commercial awareness and a customer-focused approach.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and logistics or freight management systems.

• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a wider team.
