About the Role
This is a strategic leadership opportunity based in Chicago, responsible for driving revenue growth across the Midwest region. As Regional Sales Manager, you’ll oversee the development and execution of sales strategies, manage major client relationships, and lead a team of sales professionals. This role is ideal for a results-driven freight forwarding expert with a passion for mentoring others and a sharp eye for new business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and lead regional sales initiatives to achieve revenue growth and market expansion
- Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities in air and ocean freight services
- Manage high-value client relationships and ensure continued customer satisfaction
- Recruit, mentor, and manage a team of sales professionals to drive team performance
- Work cross-functionally with operations, pricing, and customer service teams
- Monitor market trends and competitors to support proactive strategic planning
Ideal Candidate
- 5+ years of sales experience in freight forwarding or international logistics
- Demonstrated success in hitting sales targets and expanding customer base
- Strong knowledge of international freight (air & ocean), domestic transport, and brokerage
- Proven leadership ability with experience managing or mentoring sales teams
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Based in or open to relocating to the Chicago, IL area (regional travel required)
