Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Ocean Export Operator to join a fast-paced freight forwarding team out of the Jamaica, NY office. The ideal candidate will manage the full ocean export process from booking through documentation and delivery, ensuring smooth, compliant, and timely shipments for a diverse client base.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage end-to-end ocean export operations, including bookings, documentation, and shipment tracking
• Coordinate with carriers, overseas agents, and clients to ensure on-time cargo movement
• Prepare and review export documentation (bills of lading, commercial invoices, packing lists, letters of credit where applicable)
• Ensure compliance with AES filing requirements and other export regulations
• Communicate proactively with clients regarding shipment status, delays, and issues
• Maintain accurate records within the company's operating system
• Collaborate with internal departments (sales, pricing, customs) to support seamless service delivery

Key Skills & Qualifications:

• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in ocean export operations within freight forwarding
• Working knowledge of AES filing and export compliance requirements
• Experience with industry systems such as CargoWise, Magaya, or similar platforms
• Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple shipments and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
