Position Overview

A growing international freight forwarding company is seeking an experienced Licensed Customs Broker (LCB) to support its U.S. customs brokerage operations. This role is responsible for ensuring compliant and timely customs clearance, advising clients on import regulations, and maintaining the highest standards of customs compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Process and review customs entries through ACE/ABI.

• Classify goods using the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS).

• Ensure compliance with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) regulations and Partner Government Agencies (FDA, USDA, EPA, etc.).

• Prepare and submit ISF filings, post-entry corrections, and customs documentation.

• Resolve customs holds, examinations, and clearance issues.

• Liaise with customers, carriers, government agencies, and internal operations teams.

• Provide guidance on customs regulations, duty rates, and import compliance.

Requirements

• Active U.S. Customs Broker License (required).

• 3+ years of customs brokerage experience within a freight forwarding environment.

• Strong knowledge of CBP regulations, HTS classification, ACE/ABI, ISF, and PGA requirements.

• Excellent communication skills with a strong customer service focus.

• High attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple shipments in a fast-paced environment.
