Finance Manager

A Houston freight forwarder needs a finance manager to run its accounting and reporting. You'd own the month-end close, the branch P&L and the day-to-day finance team.

Day to day

• Own the month-end close, management accounts and branch P&L reporting.
• Run accounts payable, accounts receivable and credit control, and keep DSO in check.
• Reconcile shipment-level margin, work in progress and accruals on open files.
• Manage carrier and agent payments, duty and disbursement accounts.
• Lead a small finance team and support the GM on the numbers.

You'll fit if

• You have at least 5 years in finance, including time in freight forwarding or logistics.
• You know shipment-level accounting, gross profit reconciliation and month-end close.
• You are strong on AP, AR, credit control and management reporting.
• Experience with CargoWise accounting would help.

On offer

• $100,000 to $130,000 base, depending on experience.
