Customs Brokerage Manager

Location: Atlanta, GA

Salary: $110,000 - $120,000 + Benefits

Altius Talent is partnering with a global freight forwarding company to recruit an experienced Customs Brokerage Manager for their Atlanta office.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Customs Brokerage professional looking to step into a leadership role with an internationally recognised logistics provider. You will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day Customs Brokerage operation, ensuring full compliance with CBP regulations while leading and developing a team of four.

Responsibilities

• Manage the daily Customs Brokerage operation within the Atlanta branch.
• Lead, mentor and develop a team consisting of 1 Customs Brokerage Supervisor and 3 Customs Entry Writers.
• Ensure all customs entries are processed accurately, efficiently and in compliance with CBP regulations.
• Oversee customs clearance activities across Air, Ocean and Domestic freight shipments.
• Monitor team productivity, performance and service levels.
• Provide technical guidance on customs regulations, tariff classifications and compliance matters.
• Work closely with Operations, Sales and customers to ensure a seamless customs clearance process.
• Handle escalated customs issues and resolve any clearance delays.
• Maintain compliance with all CBP regulations and internal company procedures.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiencies and overall department performance.
• Support training and onboarding of new team members.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years' experience within Customs Brokerage.
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience managing a Customs Brokerage team.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. Customs regulations and compliance.
• CargoWise One experience is essential.
• Licensed Customs Broker (LCB) is highly desirable but not essential.
• Strong understanding of Air Freight, Ocean Freight and Customs Brokerage operations.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced freight forwarding environment.
