Customs Brokerage Manager
Salary: $90,000 to $120,000 depending on experience

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Customs Brokerage Manager to lead day to day brokerage operations and drive compliance across the business. This is a hands on leadership role suited to someone who knows the industry inside out and can manage a team while staying close to the detail.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee the full customs clearance process across air and ocean freight

Manage and mentor a team of brokerage specialists

Ensure compliance with CBP regulations and all applicable trade laws

Handle complex classification and binding ruling requests

Build and maintain strong relationships with CBP and other government agencies

Support business development by advising on customs strategy and cost optimisation

Monitor regulatory changes and ensure the team is trained and up to date

Requirements

Licensed Customs Broker

Several years of experience in a supervisory or management capacity

Strong classification skills across a broad range of commodity types

Solid understanding of ACE, FDA, PGA, and other compliance frameworks

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment

Strong communication skills across both internal teams and external clients

Nice to Have

Experience with CargoWise or similar TMS platforms

Background in freight forwarding as well as brokerage
