I'm currently partnered with a leading international freight forwarder that is actively seeking a Customs Brokerage Manager to lead and oversee their U.S. import operations. This is a key leadership role for an experienced customs professional who can drive compliance, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction in a fast-paced forwarding environment.

About the Role:
The Customs Brokerage Manager will be responsible for managing a team of entry writers and customs staff while ensuring adherence to all regulatory requirements. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong technical customs knowledge, proven team leadership, and the ability to work closely with clients and government agencies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily customs brokerage operations: entry filing, classification, PGA coordination, ISF filing, and clearance.

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of licensed brokers, entry writers, and compliance staff.

  • Ensure full regulatory compliance with CBP regulations, trade laws, and all relevant partner government agencies.

  • Act as the main point of contact for customs audits, CBP inquiries, and internal compliance reviews.

  • Work closely with clients to resolve classification, valuation, and compliance issues; provide consultative support on import regulations and trade programs.

  • Monitor regulatory changes (USMCA, Section 301, antidumping/countervailing duties, drawback programs) and implement internal policy updates accordingly.

  • Partner with operations, sales, and account management teams to support client needs and ensure excellent service delivery.
