The Role
In this position, you will be responsible for managing seafreight shipments within the automotive sector, ensuring smooth and efficient operations for both import and export processes. Key responsibilities include:
- End-to-end handling of seafreight import, export, and cross-trade shipments
- Order entry and shipment coordination
- Rate negotiations with carriers and booking cargo space
- Preparing invoices and shipping documentation
- Providing professional support to customers by phone and email
What We’re Looking For
We are seeking a motivated logistics professional who enjoys working in an international setting and takes pride in delivering high-quality service.
- Completed apprenticeship as Freight Forwarding and Logistics Services Clerk (Kaufmann/-frau für Spedition und Logistikdienstleistung) or similar qualification
- Professional experience in seafreight import/export operations (automotive sector experience advantageous)
- Strong communication skills with a confident, reliable presence
- Ability to work well in a team and independently organise tasks
- Fluent German and English (written & spoken) required
- Proficient in MS Office applications
