Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support the sea freight export team on day-to-day operational activities.
- Act as the first point of contact for operational issues, problem-solving, and escalations.
- Handle key export shipments yourself to remain hands-on and set an example for the team.
- Monitor performance, KPIs, and ensure compliance with company standards and regulations.
- Train, mentor, and develop team members, fostering a collaborative working environment.
- Maintain strong relationships with customers, carriers, and internal stakeholders.
- Ensure smooth coordination between overseas offices, partners, and agents.
Requirements
- Several years of experience in sea freight exports within freight forwarding.
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience is highly advantageous.
- Strong operational knowledge of export processes, documentation, and customs requirements.
- Excellent communication skills in both German and English.
- Customer-focused mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and lead a team effectively.
