About the Role
This is a key commercial leadership role based out of the greater Chicago area. As Sales Director, you’ll lead the strategic growth of the company’s international freight services—driving performance across air, ocean, and value-added solutions. You’ll be responsible for mentoring a growing sales team, managing high-value enterprise accounts, and working closely with senior leadership to shape and execute the broader sales vision.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a team of sales professionals focused on air and ocean freight forwarding

  • Build and execute a commercial strategy that aligns with company goals and market demand

  • Drive new business development while maintaining and expanding key accounts

  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure operational delivery and client satisfaction

  • Monitor sales performance and pipeline activity, delivering regular reporting to leadership


Candidate Requirements

  • 7+ years of freight forwarding experience, with at least 3 years in sales leadership

  • Deep knowledge of international logistics, particularly air and ocean services

  • Demonstrated success in developing sales teams and building customer pipelines

  • Strategic, data-driven mindset with strong communication and leadership skills

  • Must be based in the Chicago area or open to relocation
