Project Manager / International Freight Forwarding - $85,000 - $110,000 Base + Benefits

ABOUT

Our client is an established freight forwarder with a strong presence in project cargo and complex logistics movements across global markets. They work with clients across the energy, industrial, and infrastructure sectors, managing end-to-end project freight solutions that require precision, accountability, and strong client relationships.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Managing project freight files from quotation through to final delivery, across air, ocean, and multimodal modes.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients, acting as the primary point of contact throughout the life of each project.
• Coordinating with internal operations, pricing, and customs teams to ensure seamless execution on all movements.
• Overseeing project timelines, milestones, and budgets, flagging risks and resolving issues proactively.
• Preparing and reviewing shipping documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance at every stage.
• Tracking project performance against KPIs and reporting updates to senior stakeholders.
• Supporting the development of new business opportunities within existing client accounts.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• Minimum three to five years of experience in freight forwarding, with direct exposure to project cargo or complex logistics movements.
• Strong understanding of air and ocean freight, including OOG, breakbulk, and multimodal execution.
• Proven ability to manage multiple active projects simultaneously without losing attention to detail.
• Experience working directly with clients at a senior level and managing expectations throughout a project lifecycle.
• Familiarity with CargoWise or similar freight management systems is preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
