About the Role:
Altius is proud to be partnering with a global freight forwarder in the search for an experienced Operational Account Manager – Air Exports to join their Stuttgart branch. This role will focus on managing a set portfolio of key accounts, ensuring the smooth and efficient handling of all air export shipments from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the full operational process for air export shipments from booking to final delivery.
- Act as the main point of contact for a set number of dedicated accounts.
- Coordinate with international offices and agents to arrange shipments to worldwide destinations.
- Prepare and process all export documentation in compliance with regulations.
- Monitor shipments and proactively resolve any operational issues.
- Liaise with airlines, transport providers, and internal teams to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Maintain strong relationships with customers, ensuring high service levels are consistently achieved.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in air export operations within a freight forwarding environment.
- Fluent German (written and spoken) is essential; English proficiency is highly beneficial.
- Strong understanding of export documentation and airfreight procedures.
- Ability to manage multiple shipments and accounts simultaneously.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and customer service skills.
- Proactive and detail-oriented approach to problem-solving.
