About the Role

Based at the company’s Charlotte headquarters, this position will lead the customs brokerage and import compliance function across multiple ports of entry. You’ll be responsible for ensuring full adherence to U.S. Customs and Partner Government Agency (PGA) regulations, managing daily entries, and supporting internal and external stakeholders with expert-level customs knowledge.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and execute customs entries for air, ocean, and ground shipments via ABI.
• Review and classify products under the HTSUS; maintain up-to-date tariff knowledge.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable import/export regulations and company procedures.
• Liaise with U.S. Customs, FDA, USDA, and other PGAs as required.
• Advise internal teams and clients on regulatory changes, duty rates, and documentation.
• Support audits, post-entry amendments, and reconciliation filings.
• Train and mentor entry writers and operations staff to uphold compliance standards.

Candidate Requirements

• Active U.S. Customs Broker License (required).
• Minimum 3–5 years of brokerage experience within a freight forwarding or logistics environment.
• Strong working knowledge of U.S. import laws, HTSUS classification, and PGA requirements.
• Proficiency with ABI software (CargoWise, Descartes, or similar).
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
• Must be based in or able to commute to Charlotte, NC.
