The Role

As Inside Sales Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing and growing the company’s existing customer base while supporting field sales with lead generation and account development. Based out of the Düsseldorf office (with a flexible hybrid model), you will be the key contact for clients, ensuring seamless communication, commercial support, and proactive service delivery.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage a portfolio of SME and mid-sized freight forwarding customers

  • Proactively engage with existing clients to strengthen relationships and identify upselling or cross-selling opportunities

  • Collaborate closely with field sales, operations, and pricing teams to prepare quotations and tailored logistics solutions

  • Maintain up-to-date CRM records, tracking client interactions and pipeline activity

  • Follow up on marketing campaigns and inbound leads, converting them into active accounts

  • Support tender responses and ad hoc pricing requests from the network

  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity to help shape sales strategy


What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in inside sales or customer service within freight forwarding/logistics

  • Strong understanding of air and/or sea freight operations

  • Commercially driven with excellent communication and negotiation skills

  • Fluent in German and proficient in English (spoken & written)

  • Comfortable working independently and managing multiple accounts with a structured approach

  • Experience using CRM systems (e.g. CargoWise, Salesforce, or similar)
