Inside Sales – Air & Ocean Freight
Location: Düsseldorf
Salary: €42,000 – €55,000 depending on experience + up to 2 months' gross salary as annual bonus
We are currently working on behalf of a global freight forwarder who are seeking an experienced and motivated Inside Sales professional to join their growing team in Düsseldorf. This role is focused on supporting the Air & Ocean Freight division, working closely with the field sales and operational teams to develop business and deliver outstanding service to clients.

Key Responsibilities
Sales & Customer Acquisition Support
- Research and proactively approach potential new customers
- Schedule appointments and manage calendars for field sales staff
- Qualify incoming customer inquiries
- Create tailored quotes and professional sales correspondence
- Support sales activities in both acquisition and long-term business development
- Assist in preparing responses for tenders and RFQs
Quotation & Pricing
- Independently create quotations for air and sea freight services
- Coordinate with internal departments to obtain accurate purchase prices
Communication & Strategy
- Ensure smooth information flow between departments (operations, finance, sales)
- Collaborate with colleagues to implement sales strategies and meet targets
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity
- Provide regular updates and reporting to your supervisor
Implementation & Client Onboarding
- Update and maintain SOPs during customer onboarding phases
- Support seamless handovers from sales to operations
- Contribute to margin optimization and overall profitability
- Ensure consistent quality in all sales-related processes
Your Profile
- Completed vocational training in freight forwarding/logistics (Speditionskaufmann/-frau)
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar Inside Sales role in air and sea freight
- Strong knowledge of Incoterms and international freight procedures
- Good command of English and German, both written and spoken
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and customer-focused
- A collaborative team player with strong communication skills
