Inside Sales Executive – Global Freight Forwarder
Location: Hannover, Germany
Salary: €3,500 – €4,500 per month + Bonus
Mode: Air & Sea Freight
Team: 2 Outside Sales (BDMs) + 1 Inside Sales


About the Role:

Altius is proud to be assisting a global freight forwarder in the search for an Inside Sales Executive to join their growing team in Hannover. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a close-knit commercial team that values collaboration, initiative, and strong communication.

You will work closely with two experienced Business Development Managers (BDMs), partnering directly with each as a support and sales-driving force. You’ll also join an existing Inside Sales colleague, allowing for shared knowledge and support across the team.

This role is focused on internal sales activities across both Air and Sea freight solutions, ideal for a motivated individual with a commercial mindset and strong background in freight forwarding sales support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with the BDMs to manage and grow existing client accounts and support new business development
  • Prepare and follow up on quotations and service proposals for Air & Sea freight solutions
  • Maintain regular communication with clients to understand their logistics needs and provide tailored support
  • Coordinate with internal operations and pricing teams to ensure service excellence
  • Manage CRM entries and maintain accurate records of customer interactions and opportunities
  • Identify upselling opportunities and contribute to sales strategy discussions
  • Provide market feedback and insights to support wider commercial goals

What We’re Looking For:
  • Experience in inside sales or customer service within freight forwarding (Air and/or Sea)
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
  • Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written in German & English
  • A proactive and positive approach to teamwork and client service
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and standard MS Office tools
  • A commercial mindset with a desire to grow within a global organization
