Position Overview:
Our client is seeking an experienced Import Operator to manage air and ocean import shipments from origin through final delivery. This role suits a detail-oriented operations professional comfortable handling general cargo across both modes, with a strong grasp of compliance and customer service standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage end-to-end import operations for air and ocean shipments, including documentation, customs clearance coordination, and cargo release
• Process general cargo shipments while maintaining accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements
• Communicate proactively with clients, carriers, and overseas agents to ensure timely, accurate shipment updates
• Prepare and review import documentation, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, and customs entries
• Coordinate with customs brokers and internal teams to resolve discrepancies or delays
• Maintain accurate shipment records within operational systems

Key Skills & Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in import operations, with exposure to both air and ocean freight
• Strong working knowledge of general cargo handling
• CargoWise experience strongly preferred
• Solid understanding of import compliance and documentation requirements
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple shipments and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
