To support continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Customs Entry Writer to join their U.S. customs brokerage team.

Position Overview

As a Customs Entry Writer, you will be responsible for preparing and processing import documentation in compliance with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) regulations. You’ll act as a key liaison between clients, carriers, and government agencies to ensure shipments are cleared accurately and on time. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with solid knowledge of customs compliance, HTS classification, and strong communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit customs entries for air, ocean, and ground shipments.

• Classify goods using the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) and ensure accurate duty/tax assessment.

• Verify documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with CBP regulations.

• Communicate with clients to gather missing documentation or clarify shipment details.

• Coordinate with U.S. Customs, carriers, and government agencies as needed.

• Monitor release status and resolve clearance issues promptly.

• Maintain updated knowledge of customs regulations, trade agreements, and compliance requirements.

• Support internal teams with entry-related inquiries and compliance best practices

Qualifications

• Required: 2+ years of experience as a Customs Entry Writer or in a related customs brokerage role.
