Entry Writer / Customs Broker

We are looking for a detail-oriented Customs Entry Specialist to join our import operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and submitting accurate documentation to ensure timely customs clearance of inbound shipments. This position does not require a broker license, but experience in customs or freight forwarding is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and file customs entries for import shipments via ACE/ABI systems

• Classify goods using the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS)

• Verify documentation including commercial invoices, packing lists, and bills of lading

• Work with customs brokers and importers to resolve issues or discrepancies

• Communicate with customs, carriers, and government agencies (e.g., FDA, USDA) as needed

• Monitor shipment status to ensure timely clearance and release

• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with applicable regulations
