We are partnering with a well-established freight forwarding company to recruit a detail-oriented Entry Writer to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with a strong foundation in U.S. Customs brokerage and import processes to build their career in international logistics. The Entry Writer will play a key role in ensuring the timely and compliant processing of import shipments, supporting smooth supply chain operations for a diverse client base.
Responsibilities

Prepare and file accurate customs entries for import shipments, ensuring compliance with U.S. Customs and other government agency regulations.

Review commercial documents (invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, etc.) for accuracy and completeness.

Classify goods according to HTS (Harmonized Tariff Schedule) and determine applicable duties, taxes, and fees.

Communicate with customers, carriers, and government agencies to resolve entry issues or delays.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of customs regulations and changes that may impact the import process.

Track and monitor the status of shipments, keeping clients informed proactively.

Support the operations team with any additional import-related documentation or reporting needs.
Qualifications

1–2 years of experience in customs entry writing or a related role within freight forwarding, logistics, or customs brokerage (preferred but not required for strong entry-level candidates with relevant education or internships).

Knowledge of U.S. Customs regulations and HTS classification.

Strong attention to detail with the ability to work under tight deadlines.

Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with logistics/entry software systems (such as Descartes, WiseTech, or similar) is a plus.

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
