Domestic Coordinator
Position Summary
The Domestic Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and managing domestic freight shipments within the country. This role ensures timely pick-up, transit, and delivery of cargo while maintaining communication with carriers, customers, and internal teams. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced logistics environment.
Key Responsibilities

Coordinate all domestic freight movements (LTL, FTL, rail, air, or courier) in compliance with customer requirements and company procedures.

Book shipments with carriers, negotiate rates, and confirm transport arrangements.

Monitor shipments from pickup to delivery, proactively resolving delays or issues.

Maintain accurate shipment records and update the Transportation Management System (TMS).

Communicate shipment status and exceptions to customers and internal stakeholders.

Verify freight charges, handle billing documentation, and support invoicing accuracy.

Collaborate with the import/export and warehouse teams to ensure seamless cargo flow.

Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and company safety standards.

Support continuous improvement initiatives for service quality and cost efficiency.
