Position Overview

We are seeking an entry-level to early-career Customs Entry Writer to join a busy brokerage team. This role is ideal for someone with foundational experience in customs entry preparation who is looking to grow their career within a supportive, detail-oriented environment. You'll play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely entry filings in compliance with CBP regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and file customs entries (formal and informal) accurately and in a timely manner
• Classify merchandise using HTS codes and verify duty rates
• Review import documentation (commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading) for accuracy and completeness
• Communicate with clients, carriers, and customs officials to resolve entry discrepancies
• Ensure compliance with CBP regulations and other government agency (PGA) requirements
• Maintain organized records of entries and supporting documentation
• Assist with ISF filings and other pre-arrival compliance tasks as needed

Key Skills & Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in customs entry writing or a related brokerage/compliance role
• Familiarity with HTS classification and CBP entry procedures
• Experience with customs entry software (e.g., ACE, CargoWise, Descartes) a plus
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Customs Broker License a plus but not required
