Our client is a global freight forwarder providing innovative logistics solutions across air, ocean, and ground transportation. With a strong focus on compliance, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence, they partner with clients in industries such as pharmaceuticals, life sciences, manufacturing, and consumer goods.
They are currently seeking a Customs Brokerage Manager to lead their brokerage team. This role is ideal for a licensed U.S. Customs Broker with a strong background in freight forwarding who thrives in a leadership position and can balance compliance, client service, and operational efficiency in a hybrid work model.
Responsibilities

Lead the day-to-day operations of the customs brokerage department, ensuring all entries and filings are accurate and compliant with CBP and PGA regulations.

Supervise and mentor a team of licensed brokers, entry writers, and operations staff, fostering growth and accountability.

Serve as the escalation point for complex issues, including CF-28/CF-29 responses, PSCs, protests, binding rulings, and other compliance challenges.

Oversee client onboarding for brokerage services: review POAs, draft SOPs, and establish compliance workflows.

Collaborate closely with freight forwarding, operations, and account management teams to deliver seamless end-to-end customer solutions.

Monitor and manage P&L, departmental KPIs, and productivity targets.

Maintain and enhance compliance programs, including ACE, ISF, AMS, CTPAT, and TSA requirements.

Provide training, guidance, and regulatory updates to staff and clients on customs matters.

Partner with carriers, vendors, and government agencies to ensure timely, compliant, and cost-effective movement of goods.

Lead audit preparation and response for CBP and Partner Government Agencies.
